"Simply Smoking" original Cuban Roots debut with Jazz, Funk, and Brazilian seasoning produced by Jose Conde and mixed by 13 time Grammy winner Jon Fausty. - Judy Cantor Miami New Times
"grouping of Afro-Cuban genre songs is held steady and in perfect harmony under the direction of Mr. Conde and his superb band. The timba inflections on "El Clasificado," the intoxicating coro on "Tira La Tierra," the fiery and jazzy "El Bombo" (described an "ensalada de samba con salsa, son y descarga") and the big-band feel of "Bolitas De Arroz Con Pollo" all serve Mr. Conde, the lyricist, well.
This is an unusual record, and although it does make ample use of tradition, it is non-traditional in most respects." Descarga.com
